What an absolutely fun event this was to photograph! Danielle’s Bat Mitzvah took place on Earth Day weekend and she had it at the perfect place for her “Save the Bees, Save the Trees” themed event, The Space at Feather Oaks. It was perfect weather for an outdoor evening event at Laura Wynn with Covey Designs did a fantastic job decorating the already beautiful space for this Earth Day themed Bat Mitzvah in Tallahassee.
The Shed was transformed into a beautiful potting garden shed, where guests were able to paint ceramic pots then plant beautiful flowers in them to take home and enjoy! Pink tassels and purple flowers hung from the ceiling and blew in the breeze overhead while guests got their hands dirty.
If you know me, you know I love ice cream so when the Lofty Pursuits truck pulled up, I had to Instagram it! Danielle got her very own custom ice cream sundae!
One of the most amazing things I saw was the Lux Tipi that they made ginormous pans of paella under! I could not believe this beautiful tent was a rental – it looked like it was part of the property. What a fun and unique, and very Earth Day themed way to not only have an outdoor tent but to serve dinner too!
Lanterns were setup on adorable pink gingham blankets, accented with vases of beautiful wild flowers. And Danielle’s favor table included seed bombs and honey bee seed papers. The s’mores station as well the huge paper flowers made the whole event come to life. I loved capturing this event! Being a modern-day hippie myself, I can really appreciate when an event uses recycled, biodegradable tableware and encourages guests to plant flowers that will help our honey bees.
I hope Danielle had a great time – her family and friends showered her with love and donated to a local farm instead of bringing her gifts. What a special young lady!
