I love working with fellow friendors (friend + vendor). And that was the case for Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah. Diane with Sweet Tea Events was the Cooper family’s planner for Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah and she reached out to me on their behalf to capture this milestone. I’m so thankful and glad that she did. I loved photographing Sarah’s science-themed Bat Mitzvah at Temple Israel.

Temple Israel Bat Mitzvah
One of my favorite features, from a photography standpoint, at Temple Israel is in their inner courtyard. It features this magnificent ivy covered menorah. We did the majority of the family portraits in front of it because it was a beautiful day and a great backdrop. The natural light inside the Temple is wonderful too which made for some beautiful, naturally lit photos of Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah. Her family was so kind, warm and fun. I could tell they were so happy for Sarah and her friends were excited to be there to support her too.

Science-Themed Bat Mitzvah
Sarah loves science and Diane did a fantastic job making that come to life at her party. From atom shaped balloon decorations, to beakers filled with beads and lights and the laboratory break-out session were amazing. That’s right, Diane and her team planned a science themed breakout session for Sarah and her friends! It was really cool to see all the details and watch them figure out all the clues.
