Live wedding guest paintings are a truly unique and one of a kind experience. Not only does it wow and entertain your guests, but it also serves as a wedding favor for them to take home and cherish forever.

Poppie Studios offers a specified window of time (see below) during the event for guests to come to my table, where I’ll take a reference photo with my camera. Guests can then mingle and have fun while I do their paintings. Once complete, finished live wedding guest paintings are put into a clear plastic sleeve for protection, and laid on the table for guests to find theirs to take home with them at the end of the night.

Paintings are minimalist/faceless focusing on guests’ attire and hair. I use a mix of watercolor techniques, both traditional and digital, and waterproof ink. Guest paintings are approximately size 5”x7”. The married couple also receives their own 8”x10” painting, which I will typically do first, so that it can be on display so guests can see what to expect.

You can choose anywhere from 2-4 hours of painting time. On average each painting takes 5-8 minutes. I’ve listed below approximately how many guests I can paint for each window of time and the price. The “guests” number refers to the number of portraits, with the understanding that most will include multiple guests in each portrait. For example, in the 4-hour package, I would be able to complete approximately 32-48 portraits.

There shall be NO refund of retainer after 48 hours from the time booking due to the reservation of the painting date. If services are canceled by the Client, Poppie Studios retains possession of any payments made by the Client.

Location at the Event

When I arrive at the venue/location, there must be a designated spot for me, including one 6-8′ table, and I must have access to an outlet. Guests must have access to my table for the duration of the hours I am hired for. If guests do not have access to me for the duration I am hired, I am not obligated to  complete the originally estimated number of portraits. That is to say, if I am placed in an area of the reception that will only be opened after the First Dance at 7pm, but I am hired to be there 6-8pm, I will only complete as many paintings as possible for the hour guests had access to me (7-8pm). I only complete paintings at home if, for reasons within my own control, I am unable to complete the originally estimated number of portraits.

A contract will be sent via email within 48 business hours after booking. Once that is signed, and payment has been received, you are good to go! I’ll reach out to confirm specific details like venue location and hours you would like me there. I will touch base the week of your Live Wedding Guest Portrait event to finalize all details.
